It's All About Me

Become A Part of Something Bigger Than Yourself

''The greatest rewards come when you give of yourself. It is about bettering the lives of others, being part of something bigger than yourself, and making a positive difference.''

Rhoda Fitzy Ella's Story

SEEING THAT SOMEONE IS DOING BETTER BRINGS A ASMILE TO MY FACE

I believe service starts within one’s life. If you offer service to your neighbour then that is the true satisfaction of one’s soul. I believe in putting a smile on the faces of the people God has put in my reach, presenting my life and offering all I can to make their lives better and the only way I can attain my mission is through serving the people in my community.

I believe it’s God’s pre-ordained purpose to see that we, His children serve and love one another. I want to live a Christ-like life of serving the people God has entrusted me with and bringing out the best in every aspect of their lives. It doesn't make my life any better if am happy and my neighbour is hurting, I want to be the best at what God has called me to do and that can only be attained through serving His people . Because I am a brother’s keeper.

Rhoda is the Community Coordinator of 92hands. Through her interaction with different people in the community, she keeps track of the community problems and introduces our programs to them and how we can help solve them. She encourages the people to participate in our activities and shares how their participation will benefit and transform their lives.

Kevin Wyvin's Story

WHY SERVICE IS IMPORTANT TO ME

A lot has happened in my life and I didn't have the power to change anything. Trusting God  has seen me through all my trials. I have been there, I know the struggle and I know how it feels to be in lack.  I always have a deep sense of responsibility inside of me to take action to serve those that are in need.

Living to serve others has helped me increase my self confidence, communication skills and my ability to work with people from all walks of life. It has given me the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of the people in my community. Bringing joy to others brings me joy and the more I give, the happier I feel.

Mutesi Lilyan Lamny's Story

GIVING WATER TO THE THIRSTY MAN CHANGED MY MIND

I grew up thinking about myself and the friends I had around me. I didn't think I could change a life at this early age because I thought I didn't have enough money to do that.

One time I made a man smile by just buying him a bottle of water which was just 500 Ugx and he thanked me a lot because he felt like I had done something so big. Seeing such a reaction really changed my life. The smile on this man's face opened my eyes. I realised that I didn't need to have much money to help but using the little I had was enough. My love for making a change in my community pushed me to join 92hands, a group of youths who had inspired me through their community outreaches because we had the same goals and ambitions.

Zai Faith's Story

IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS, AS LONG AS IT MAKES SOMEONE HAPPY

My happiness is when I see others happy. Personally, my heart is always at peace when I provide for others what they need. It doesn't matter how small it is as long as it makes someone happy. Well, I joined 92hands through Levixone. After he became a friend and a brother to me, he shared with me the vision of 92 Hands and I felt like becoming part of it too.

All my life, my best interest has always been putting a smile on people's faces and that's what makes me truly happy. Serving doesn't require much as long as it comes from your heart. I bless the Lord for 92hands because I am always delighted to serve and it's part of my life.

Acts 20:35

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Agusto Jafar Umar's Story

WHY I AM LIVING TO SERVE

The late Muhammad Ali once said, ''Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.''

Serving with 92hands has taught me that you need to have a heart of service for other people and the entire community, not just serving your self but contributing to the wellbeing of humanity.

I know that service is going to be part of my life forever and that by working together, we can make life better for people in our community.

Jean Sauveur's Story

I DIDN'T HAVE TO FIRST BECOME A BILLIONAIRE TO SERVE

While growing up, I thought that for one to serve he or she had to have a lot or first make sure that they are rich. However, I found out that all those presumptions were wrong when my brother Camarade Patrick introduced me to Trinity Heavenz and finally to 92 Hands! I was so shocked and amused when I witnessed what young adults like me were doing in the slums of Kampala. This is when I realised that the little I have which I usually undermined could put a smile on someone's face and could change a life. I realised that in order to give back to the society I didn't have to first be a billionaire. I believe that blessing someone's life is a blessing not only to them but to me also.

In the Bible, it is well stated that a joyful giver makes God happy and therefore the happier I make God the more blessings I receive.
So for me, this is an opportunity to make God happy while making his people happy too. Loving one another is a big commandment to me as a christian and therefore one of the ways I show my love is through serving.

Ecclesiastes 11:1
"Invest in many ventures. Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return.”

Carol Namwanjje's Story

MAKING THESE KIDS SMILE, IT PRETTY MUCH MAKES MY DAY

Serving starts from deep within my heart. Service makes me feel good about myself. It makes me feel good that I have positive people around me and that we’re talking and doing positive things and 92hands has taught me that.

One of my favorite service projects is the One Child Education program. Serving there, I have built friendships with the little children and I seek to be a good role model for them. Making them smile, it pretty much makes my day. When they see us, they get the biggest smiles on their faces. It feels really good to bring them joy.

Carol is the Child Sponsorship Assistant Coordinator at 92hands. She is responsible for the general welfare of our sponsored children. She ensures that their tuition is paid and that everything they need for school is provided for. She regularly checks in on their progress at school.

Camarade Patrick's Story

WHY SERVICE IS IMPORTANT TO ME

Having came from Rwanda, a country that went through tragedies and wars, I witnessed a lot of suffering and people dying of hunger. Though my family wasn't well off too, I always felt like something needed to be done even though I was just a kid without finances. Moving to Uganda changed my mind and heart completely. I met very special young people who had a passion of helping other people even though they didn't have much. I realized that I didn't need a lot of money and wealth to help people , all I needed was a loving heart for humanity. I realized that the little I have and take for granted could be someone's start off in life.

I am living to serve because I believe that we are born for each other. Building others should be a priority before thinking of ourselves. Apart from helping the community, I love God and this is how I choose to serve Him. Its always a great pleasure to see someone's life changed and I had a part in that. It's amazing. There is a WAY it makes me feel, like I created a smile for someone.

Patrick is the Communications Officer at 92hands. He ensures effective and timely communication within the organisation, with different target audiences and the community. This facilitates our close working relationship with our stakeholders.

Cathy Collin's Story

SERVING IS COMPASSION IN ACTION

I used to think of serving as a waste of time and money. When I joined 92Hands, I learned that serving takes heart and has nothing to do with how much money you have. In the Bible, we see Jesus feeding the young, old, rich and poor. That shows that serving has no limits. It takes commitment to what you are doing and giving it your very best.

Personally, serving is compassion in action. It is the passion to serve those that are not as a privileged as I am. I serve because it brings me peace of mind, filling a need makes me very happy. I am so grateful Levixone Lala & Trinity Heavenz for obeying God and follow the vision for 92Hands and for inspiring me to get involved and serve. You can share the little you have with a needy person and bring a smile to their face and surely God will bless you. I have seen the Lord bless me in so many ways. If I can put a smile on someone else’s face, you can too through joining us to serve our communities.

Cathy is the Assistant Financial Manager at 92hands.

Marybeth Angella's Story

WHY I AM LIVING TO SERVE

I have always wanted to be a drive to change, bring smiles, give hope for the future and mostly to be an instrument of hope from the Lord.

To serve with 92hands has taught me that happiness isn't just being satisfied with what is around you, but rather how you impact others. To show love through giving is the greatest gift I have ever been granted!
Just to get an opportunity to change a heart, change a life and to change a family, those smiles give me life!
I serve because everybody deserves a chance to experience a greater & better life but mostly to be an instrument of the will of the Lord.

Marybeth is the Financial Manager at 92hands. She is responsible for the financial aspects of the organisation by ensuring that all transactions are properly accounted for and the financial systems are maintained. She provides general financial guidance and support.

Mr Right Beats' Story

I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE CHANGE IN MY COMMUNITY

I grew up in Kosovo, in a community where some parents do not care much about their children as far as providing an education and general wellbeing. There are families with single mothers and absentee fathers. The result is hungry children not going to school and eventually ending up on the streets.

I always wanted to make a change in my community, but I realised that I couldn’t do it alone. But God always has a plan. I met Trinity Heavenz and Levixone Lucas who had the same intentions of being the change in our community and that is when my wish came true. I am now able to serve others in my community with the 92hands team and I thank God for that.
