Education is a strong building block in building stronger and healthier communities. It all starts by putting an emphasis on the importance of educating children. While education plays an important role in helping eradicate poverty, expanding access to education is not enough. All children deserve the chance to not only enroll on school but complete school. To do this, they need to be availed the necessary scholastic materials they need to aid learning.
In the community of Kosovo, many parents can barely afford school supplies. Some parents send their children to school without books and school uniforms. The direct costs of sending children to schools is a burden to poor parents. Pencils, books, pens, pencils, school uniform, bags, shoes are completely out of their reach. As a result, children from poor families are less likely to enroll for primary school and those who do so are more likely to drop out.
92hands, through its Kids Back to School Challenge has helped more than 3,000 children in and around Kosovo with a way to continue attending school by providing basic school supplies. For the two years, the team has provides books, pencils, pens, school uniforms, bags, and shoes to school-going children. They have provided for some schools as well.
It is a campaign done at the start of every year. Join the challenge. Together we are creating a future where all children have an opportunity to succeed.
Their future is our future.
“We will not stop until every single child in our community can access education."
